Bicycle tours Wassenaar

Wassenaar is a wonderful municipality to cycle through, because the possibilities are endless. You can of course map out a nice route yourself, but there are also a number of well-known routes such as:

Cycle route Meijendel of 23 kilometers. During this route you will go through both Voorschoten and Wassenaar and you will discover the nature reserve of Meijendel. Along the way it is of course possible to make a "pit stop" at one of the cozy restaurants or lunchrooms. More here

Cycling route around the Horsten, this one is 17.3 kilometers. This cycling route starts in the center of Wassenaar and you cycle along the Horsten (where the King and Queen live). More here 

Wassenaar cycling routes through the dunes and the beach

How wonderful it is to cycle through the dunes and then also visit the beach. Several cycling routes run through the dune area.

On the road with the kids

If you are going on a trip with the children, you are of course looking for a short route. A nice route that we have devised ourselves is to start in the old center of Wassenaar and cycle from there to the beach. Along the way there is also a challenge, because you have to climb the steep climb. Then you cycle through a beautiful dune area and eventually you arrive at the beach. Of course you stop there, so you can have a drink and the kids can play in the sand and, weather permitting, in the sea.
