Herdenkingsconcert 4 mei 2024
Together with the Protestant Municipality of Voorschoten and the Museum Voorschoten, Sinfonietta Voorschoten (conducted by Aikaterini Sampakou) will give a Remembrance Concert in the Dorpskerk on 4 May.
Nieske Vergunst recites a number of letters from the book 'Oorlogsbrieven', een familie in de hongerwinter' which she wrote with Lisanne Mathijssen. They are mainly letters that her grandfather Loek Spaanderman from Voorschoten wrote to relatives in the country in 1944 and 1945, describing daily life with cold, hunger and despair.
The texts are interspersed with music played by Sinfonietta Voorschoten conducted by Aikaterini Sampakou.

Concert starts at 20.45 free admission, in the Dorpskerk, Kerkplein 2 in Voorschoten. The church is open from 8.10pm.
