Voorlinden Classical: String quartet
The Behn Quartet won the Orlando International Chamber Music Competition 2017 and was Associate Ensemble at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
From November, young musical talents from the Own Musical Instrument Foundation will play a special classical composition every month in the museum's auditorium during Voorlinden Classical. You can visit the museum after the concert.
The quartet has built an impressive reputation with recordings for Linn Records, performances at the West Cork Chamber Music Festival, the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam, at Wigmore Hall London and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. They also performed the world premiere of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies' latest work. At Voorlinden, they will play works by female composers Germaine Tailleferre, a member of famous composer collective Le Six, and Polish star violinist and composer Grazyna Bacewicz, among others.
