Tea Pavilion De Horsten

Hidden in the greenery on the "Royal Estates de Horsten" between Wassenaar and Voorschoten is "Theepaviljoen de Horsten".

This former so-called 'shooting house' was built in 1861 by Prince Frederik - brother of King Willem II. The shooting house was built in English Tudor Gothic style to a design by the German architect H.H.A. Wentzel, house architect of Prince Frederik.
It has been used as a tearoom since 1987. In this part of the Randstad you will feel as if you have stepped back a century. In winter you can enjoy a game dish and a cup of hunting tea in an entourage of hunting trophies. In summer you can listen to the birds on the terrace while enjoying a salad with a glass of rosé, or later in the afternoon a real English High Tea with fragrant teas and champagne. Of course you are also welcome for a cup of coffee with homemade cake.

Lunch is served from 12 noon to 2.30 pm and High Tea can be enjoyed from 2.45 pm to 4.45 pm.

Reservations can only be made during opening hours on Wednesday to Saturday. Unfortunately it is not possible to reserve places on Sundays due to the weather. large crowds, you are of course very welcome.
