My Favorite Place: “Overtochtbrug” over the Vliet

Where: Bicycle and pedestrian bridge (Overlaagbrug) over the Vliet near the Knip

Why: When I think of Voorschoten, I think of De Vliet. The canal that runs through Voorschoten, along which you will find (water) sports, nature and culture, which connect cities and, especially in recent months, offer people relaxation.

Especially at the bicycle and pedestrian bridge (Overlaagbrug) at De Knip you have a beautiful view over the water and the cycling and walking paths of the Vlietlanden and the Vogelplas offer many opportunities to exercise and relax. From the restaurant and the bench on the waterfront you can enjoy watching the birds and boats on the water. You can also walk or cycle from here to Duivenvoorde Castle, where you can see a lot of history and culture about Voorschoten.
