My Favorite Place: Dune area in Meijendel

Where: Dune area directly behind hotel Duinoord

Why: This is my favorite spot because I really like the dunes. Besides heathlands, I think that's the most beautiful nature. What makes this place special for me is that you don't have to walk on beaten paths, but can go straight through the dunes. Our 8 year old twins also like to come along, even when they were much smaller. They then let themselves roll off the dunes and completely immerse themselves in nature. We always look for the Scottish Highlanders and when they come close it is a bit scary. A little further away is the Atlantic Wall; also nice to walk to. Get out of the hustle and bustle and enjoy the peace and beauty of nature!
