My Favorite Place: Dune area Meijendel, Wassenaar

Where: From Meyendel Farm to the dunes

Why: Growing up in Rotterdam, I have lived in Wassenaar for years. And how beautiful it is here. I have to explain so many times to friends how nice it is here. I walk and cycle a lot with my husband Frits. Occasionally through the village, but also along the estate route. We also regularly cycle and walk through the Meijendel dune area. I have seen many places in the world but this is such a beautiful piece of nature; you really don't have to go to South Africa for that. Just past the pancake house we enter the dunes. Walking along the shell roads through the dunes, you imagine yourself abroad. For me, this part of Wassenaar is really my favorite place. Everyone should see this.
