My Favorite Place: Landgoed de Horsten, Seringenberg

Where: Papeweg, Wassenaar

Why: An amazingly beautiful forest with a variety of plants and trees. And also the Seringenberg with beautiful views all around. It borders the Duivenvoorde Estate with entrances in Voorschoten and Wassenaar. There are several walking routes, of which the longest, the 7.5 km, is my favorite. Within this royal estate is also a tea pavilion where you can eat delicious cakes. Villa De Eikenhorst, until recently inhabited by the royal family, is located in the estate, which has been in the possession of the royal family since 1845. I like to take a walk in the woods here to completely relax, to exercise and to breathe in the fresh forest air. Due to the size of this beautiful forest, it is never too busy and there is also plenty to do for children.
