My Favorite Place: The cemetery around the Dorpskerk
Where: Square 3, Wassenaar
Why: THE HEART OF THIS VILLAGE
What is it about this village that fascinates me
and binds? I feel grown with it.
Is it because I was here as a child
wandered and wandered along paths of gravel
searching for the meaning of everyday life
and untangling reality and appearance?
Is it because I have many faces on the street
familiar greeting to me see lights?
For I know many and many know me.
But that doesn't bring me any closer
the heart of this village. I have to agree
that it is rather the inanimate bodies
are, of loved ones laid to rest here
which made me attached to this place.
